Dr. Darjené Graham-Perez, was recognized as a renowned specialist in Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership. Darjené is currently the Human Resources & DEI Manager at Walden Family Services where she is responsible for leading and developing all DE&I programs, initiatives, and strategic planning with the C-Suite executives. It is Dr. Darjené’s belief that, “Everyone should be able to come to work and present their true authentic self in a safe, inclusive environment.”
She has transformed several policies to be more inclusive and equitable for all employees, leads the Walden Wellness Committee for the entire organization, successfully launched their first Diversity & Inclusion Council, and planning to launch much-needed employee resource groups such as Former Foster Youth Employees and the LGBTQ+ Employees and updated the talent acquisition cycle to be more efficient and aligned with industry standards.
Dr. Darjené is leading the charge with Caravanserai Projects in creating a Strategic Network and Planning Circle to connect other non-profit organizations that support DE&I efforts throughout our Southern California, Inland Empire region.
